XplicitPerformance Coupe build COMPLETE

Well I picked up a 1990 Mustang Roller this past year from a buddy of mine. It was a roller and that was it. It had no wiring what so ever nor an ECU. It had the welds and the cowl hood and that was basically it. Over the year it has evolved into a nearly completed project! I plan to have it completed within the next month or two.

This is the day I brought it home





The first thing I did was pick up the beginning of the heart. It was to be based off a Mexican block



Got the Eagle 4340 Crank for it



Re-used some rods from an old set up



I had the rotating assembly taken care of but now I needed something to slap on top so I picked up a set of these. Had them milled down and bumped the compression a bit









I had the rear end handled to hold anything I wanted to throw at it...





I needed an intake that would flow well with this setup and like RPMs...so I got one of these and gave 6061.com a call for one of their elbows.

I needed a fuel system to plumb up before I got the motor completed...



I got the short block completed and neutral balanced...





The assembly of the long block began. I used MLS head gaskets and head studs to secure the DART heads





Got it completed and buttoned up the CSR electric water pump as well...





I started mounting the fuel cell and the battery box up



Started installing some of the interior trim pieces as well



I needed something to keep it cool so picked this up at a swap meet



Started mounting the fuel system



Decided it was time to lay the motor in



Decided to start dressing up the under hood area





Needed something for this screamer to breathe thru so gave Kurgan Motorsports the call on a set of these bad boys



Got them installed





You can also see the tubular suspension which is all new with tubular A-Arms, Coil overs and C/C plates...

I needed a shifter for the PA super comp C4 with a T-Brake so I chose one of these



Wires/DEI boots



I needed to wire all the accessories so I chose this panel to help make thing simple and trust me it did big time!!

I mounted up a new tach, mocked the shifter and mounted the Digital 6 Ignition. Many do not like the location of the ignition box and I am not sure it will stay there but it is easily accessible




The wiring process began and I have a 12v block and a ground block in the rear



This was how the motor was sitting up til a few weeks ago. I ripped the nitrous stuff off and decided to go with a different plate setup

Started wiring up the car (I am not the best wiring person in the world but I took satisfaction knowing I did it myself)





We have power at the panel!!



A few more goodies under the hood. Some looks stuff and the HVC coil

thats pretty much my complete build as it is today. I plan to have it finished VERY soon
