| If I can find one under 1800 new I would do it but all the new ones I see are like $2100 and dont think she will go for that. Plus i need bell housing and that crossmember work done. | |

I am looking at new AODE performance built automatics so let me know what you can do. It will be a week or so before I am ready to purchase.

is it the King Cobra or the King Cobra HD? I think I had the HD in my old LX. That thing lived a good while behind my stout 306ci iron headed motor. It ran 12.009 on motor and 11.2@124mph on 100 shot. I dumped that thing 5000-5500 on motor and 3500-4000 rpm on ET Streets many times and it handled it. It eventually started giving out towards the end. Its a good cheap clutch but for a 100$ or a little more you can get a Spec Stage III that will probably handle whatever you got planned for it.

| Not sure on the HD, it was in the car already when I bought it. All I know is it was ridiculous to drive with until I got used to it. | |

| I don't like the King Cobras for that reason. Too damn hard... (that's not what she said) .

| yeah they got a stiff pressure plate. Most foxbody clutches are pretty stiff. You can get a Spec with a lightweight pedal mod that helps for stiff pedals. I just got one ordered to go into Shawns Cobra. | |

| I may not go with a rebuild on my AODE auto transmission. Let me know what a performance unit can be had for if you can. I have shopped Summit, Jegs and CJpony parts and some other sites already. The cost difference isn't that much, so if my money works out like I hope, may be the route I go. | |
