| To be honest I wouldn't invest any money in the T5 unless you send it to G-Force or Liberty. I would put the money in a Tremec 3550, TKO 500. I had a Tremec 3550 and loved it. I beat the ever living shit out of it and it never skipped a beat. | |

| Well not sure I would be able to afford that, those are like almost 3g's right? Getting this tranny super cheap so pocket book wise would probably be more cost effect go build this one right? | |

| So building a Borg Warner is not your recommendation even if I am getting the tranny for a steal? | |

for the amount of money you will have in the T5 you can get a good used Tremec that has much better power rating.

| Well from what I have been reading, and I know I shouldn't trust everything I read, I am going to have to do a few small things to even get the tko to work right. Like driveshaft spacers and what not, nothing to major just extra stuff not a straight swap. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. | |

| the 3650 is a stock transmission in the mustangs. It is not as strong as the 3550 or the TKO. I believe the 3650 has the bellhousing as part of the transmission. It would not work behind a SBF. | |

| No biggie. Gotta make the best and smart decisions when it comes to this and not rush, so money isn't wasted.
Luckily we have good people on this site to guide us or at least gives it pros and cons of things we question.

to isntall a Tremec 3550 and a TKO 500 you will need to grind the tack welds off the crossmember to move it back a few inches. You will also need a Cobra R bellhousing from a 1995. Other than that its a straight swap. I did not require a driveshaft spacer either.

| A TKO 600 will require a new clutch as its a 26 spline not a 10 spline. | |

| What you will have to weigh is what are you going to do with the car. Race? How much more power are you going to put down in the future? Just a fun daily driver and make a few passes every now and then? If you are not going to do much and depending on how much you are going to be able to spend or timeline in which you want to do something about the transmission all will have to factor into this brohamshire 4eyedfan of mine | |
