| Little vid of it running. For some reason there's a lot of popping in the video once it got to YouTube. So I'm uploading another after I converted it over to MPEG2 to see if it solves the problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UySzzff6lXE | |

| Well....uhhhhhh......welll.......iuhhhhhhhhhh........kind of blew the motor about an hour ago. Woops..... the boost was climbing on out to 13 pounds and the bottom end just wasn't build for that. Couldn't wipe the smile off my face.....hence forgot to let off the gas....
Time to build the forged 396!!!!!!!!
Car will be down for a while.....

| How did it spool up? I would think boost would come in pretty quickly on a LT1... | |

| With the small turbos that I'm running....boost was damn near instant. Practically no turbo lag | |

| Just a little update. Finally got the Impala back together with a fresh motor. Didn't build build the 396 that I originally wanted. Ended up buying Intmd8's old forged 359. Was in a twin turbo Camaro and made really nice numbers....over 850 to the wheels. So I figured that I'd just throw it in....it'll hold to whatever I decided to put it through. Will have fresh pics and video soon. But definitely happy to have it back together and running. Changed a few things in the exhaust....and in my opinion....sounds 100% better than it did before. | |

| Can't wait to see this thing on the road and see what it really has in it. I think it sounded really good last night and the exhaust looks good with the new modifications. | |

Yeap....it's a good thing we corrected some of the things we came across. As I was backing out of the driveway last night....I noticed that you could see everything under the car. Kind of surprised me. Really need to detail up the rear end....lol.. And again....thanks for your help...

I hope so. It won't dominate by any means....but hopefully won't necessarily be a push over either...lol

Still got the Syclone. Have put it on hold until I get the Impala back on the road and dependable enough to be my daily driver. I'm anxious to park this new POS Camaro SS I bought and stop puttin the miles on it. It's been a let down more or less. So that's why I've been trying to get the Impala on the road. Once that is done....I'll start putting more effort into the Syclone. I've been doing little things to it....but pretty few and far between.

Mines a 2010.....but the rear end in it is shit. Can't even do donuts in it or drift it without the rear end opening up. Just a piece of junk. The power is decent once it's moving....but out of the whole its a turd! It'll stay poz'd as long as you keep it straight....but other than that it's junk. And that's a lot of the fun I use to like having in my 2002 Camaro SS. Stock for stock.....my old Camaro SS would trash this one. It's a nice car and has a lot of potential....I understand that. But I'm extremely pissed that the rear end setup is the way it is.....lol. So I just want to get the Impala going and have the fun with it. Figure I'll detail the Camaro up and put it away under it's cover. Keep the miles off of it....and trade it in later. I'm sure I'll break it out everyonce in a while when I get a hard-on for going to the gears.....but that's about it. I pretty much regret buying it instead of a truck. Really kick myself in the ass for that one....lol. Strange how one little thing can make you just not enjoy a ride anymore. There are some fairly cheap fixes out there which I've thought about doing.....just not sure. It's a good back up vehicle for when the others are down....lol

| Nah....if I decide to keep it.....I wouldn't want to do any serious kind of transformation like that. But I definitely miss my 4th gen. Now that was a fun Camaro | |

| Then a few pics of everything installed and in a driving status... Also had done some driving around and tried to do some vids. Vids aren't very good but will enable you to kind of get an idea on how it sounds and looks. Rolling off from a stop sign.... https://youtu.be/RTKL_p1c7aM Jumping on it from a dead stop....you can hear it a little better in this one https://youtu.be/CnPb3E_k78U And my sloppy ass donut....lol. https://youtu.be/alebFbz2hUg My brother and I had a little disagreement about how it would compare to my 2010 Camaro SS. I've felt the Impala had a really good 60-80 acceleration. My brother felt that the Camaro was stronger. So we went out and raced from a 60 roll. From 60 to 125 the Impala took the Camaro by 6 links. Sorry....no video of this....maybe next time. Everything you see here is on 7-8 psi. Looking forward to getting the tune on out to 15 psi. Hopefully in the next month or so. | |
