All the ford guys inside!

I been slacking on my Ford knowledge....so keep me informed. How do these new 5.0 autos run? I heard they are having issues with the 6spd manuals and the Autos are pretty beefy...any truth to that?

Don't know much about the autos but on another forum a couple of guys have issues with the stick cars. Stiff shift for a while, then jumps out of gear, and then gear just disappears. Mileage and abuse didn't seem to be the main cause but abuse could have been a contributer.

yeah and most the record setting cars seem to be autos! Anyone heard of an auto failing? I have seen a record holder car running 9.30s on the stock auto!

I wonder how that auto would hold up pulling a 4800 lb pig? I think Strictly has a C4 in their white car.

26k on my 5.0 auto and u no I run the shit out of my car it's good!!!

Yah I think they pulled the C4 out prematurely before anyone knew exactly how strong it really was.

I have a couple techs that work for me here at the Chevy dealer that have the new 5.0s with manuals and both wish they bought the Auto. Both of their manuals have been repaired at least twice already with minimal mods to them.

They are running 12.2s

yeah that makes me want an auto even more. I always liked banging gears but these automatics seem to hold some serious abuse!
