| Unless your planning on some serious HP I'd stick with shortie headers bro. Shorties are plenty suffecient for most builds, especially a bolt-on 306 or street stroker combo n/a or with a spray. My old 92' LX with a 331 stroker made 425hp and went 11.80's on all motor, ALL DAY!!! I had BBK equal length shorties, but if I were you I'd just do the un-equal length shorties as the gains are minimal between the two and spark plug changes were a lil tricky on a few of them. The loungtubes will cost you some low end power and unless your building a high revving stroker they will hurt you more then help you. Longtubes are a pain to install and a biyaaatch to work around. LT's will cost you more & ground clearance is another issue wit the LT's. Once again HP gains are only 8-10 HP or so (depending on the combo). Not woth the hassle! | |

| ok sounds good, I found a pair of LT macs on westside for 250. But If I go LT I will have to redo my whole exhaust, so shorties will be way more cost effective all the way around. | |

| Jay brought up some valid points but I personally wouldn't put a set of shorties on anything. The stockers are a factory shorty header and granted they have some crimps in the primaries I dont see it as a huge gain. As long as your a 5spd I wouldnt see any major issues with long tubes. The only issue I would see is a starter issue but thats easily solved by a high torque or a 94-95 starter upgrade. | |

| I'm so confused lol So if I could get the MAC LT headers for 200 would that be a good thing? I do have a 5 speed and never plan on changing that. | |

| thats a good deal. However make sure you run a Mac Midpipe. I believe they were a little funky on using other brand midpipes. | |

| not that savy on exhaust, but shouldn't the LT's hook directly to the Mac prochamber then regular exhaust out the back right? | |

| I was actually looking at this on late model restoration, they have it for 699 w/ free shipping, but I would still have to upgrade my front spindles. Which means I would have to do the rear ones too, cause if I'm doing the upgrade I would want to go 5 lug. Which means I would have to do the rear end since it is a one wheel wonder. List goes on and on. figured I would take care of a few other things first. | |
