I need to take my old t-56 to get repaired so i can sell it.Where is a good shop that will not charge me a arm and leg i can go to.I want to get it rebuild and ready to go.Anything close to baytown or close by Southside or Eastside of town.

I can ask Chuck if his tranny guy would be interested in rebuilding it. How much are you looking to get out of it? You may be better off selling it as is rather than rebuilding it.

I don't know i have seen them sell for $800-1400 running.I know TSS said it was making noise after a dyno run so i don't what it worth right now.

theres a company called TDP on LS1tech that buys cores for a decent price. May want to see what they offer before you put more $$ in it. Did you drive it after or just pulled it immediately?

that t56 rebuilds or whatever its called aint around anymore? i now g-force use to use them.

Might be better off selling as is, even a bench job rebuild could cost you $800-$1000 depending on the damage.

You might call up and talk to Tom at Carl's Transmissions there on Decker/Bayway behind Texaco. Tell him Carl S referred you and ask if he can do it as a bench job since its already out of the car. Tom is the owner.
