well i was on first and missed third but we never ran em head to head so wanted to get that clear ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, yea there changin up my schedule next week for uptraining so we can run em next week am goin back to the3-11 schedule run me with ur ls2 plus ur mods and bolt ons and ill run u on my lil shot

Well Jose, Ive only talked to you once and I remember specifically telling you I raced the other Jose (silver z28) and I missed third on first run and he missed third on second.

Its possible I said I think I would beat him (minus the N20 obviously, on a motor only race). I still am very confident I would beat him on motor vs motor. The LS2 is going to pull him on the top end, its really that simple... especially with me having a nice clutch setup and Jose (silver z28 jose) having a stock Pos slipping clutch (yes I know what its like I had a shity stock clutch too at one time). So I figured I would just straighten that up....

Im down anytime, we can set it up... ile run either of you motor to motor and then motor to motor + N20. Obviously I am going to lose when you click that button for the N20. I really dont care if I lose though, just in it for the fun and I would love to see how much of an advantage the N20 gives yall.

Either way... it will still be a fun race and thats all you can ever ask...

Honestly I think it would be pointless for Jose (red camaro) to run you. His car is pretty quick.....I think you would be a better race for Jose (silver)

Totally agree that my car vs the silver z28 is going to be much closer. I dont expect to win vs the red z28 or vs the silver z28 if hes going to spray (not that I blame you)

I think motor to motor with the silver Z28 would be a decent race. I think it comes down to the driver but I think the gearing of the GTO will help your side.

I just think (know) the Ls2 is going to pull the LS1 on the top end, although he probably will jump out a little on the start. I tend to reel people in on the top end everytime though...

Whats the difference in gearing?

IF I am not mistaking the T-56 in the GTO has different gearing than an F-body. I know the rear gearing is different as well on the GTO. Don't yall have like 3.46 gear ratio stock?

yup the gto will pull on top end and yea they have 3;46 gear ratio

there a few lids on tech mostly are getting rid of them because of the new lid from fast toys if i buy one ill sell you my slp lid

The rear gear is 3.46, but the inside of the T-56 shouldnt be any different then any of the other T-56's in your vette's, f bodies, viper, cobra etc etc

Except the actual forks and some of the internals are harder and made to stand up to more horsepower in the vette and viper. Slightly different output shaft too I believe....

The GTO transmission is superior to the F-body transmission as it has triple cone synchros. The only other transmission comparable to it are the Corvette specific ones.

Another benefit is that you have a .84 5th gear.... vs. the F-body .75... so you have a much closer ratio 5th gear and power won't fall off much.

the mn12 tranny has the same gearing as the c5z06, except 5th and 6th are geared a lil different.

MN12 = GTO/Corvette tranny
