| Well as some of you know we have been building up a G8 GT for the 2k12 meet coming up next week. well heres a few pics. We are not 100% complete but should have it up and going by the end of today. Cars new shoes and tires for 2k12 and the new horsepower Ripped the heads off to do the DOD delete. We went with the Morel Street Lifters and the entire GM kit on the rest. For the price it wasnt much more than the LS7 lifters and the Morel lifters are a much more durable piece. I also spec'd a custom grind for it. This is called the "Boost Freak" Specs are disclosed but I do offer the cam for purchase. After about 5 hours this is how it sat. We started at 9pm Sat night and stopped at 3am. We had the tear down complete and the new cam already stabbed in and torqued. Saturday we started around 1pm Got the new springs installed on the stock casting heads Got the 3 core intercooler mounted up We have the top end back together but no pics of it now. We did measure for pushrod length and went with a 7.350. I will update this later on tonight with some updated pics and hopefully final assembly pics | |

| Why is it I can see photos in other threads (i.e. Cars & Coffe) but I can't see these? All I see is a little white box with a red x in it. | |

| yeah we pinned the crank. Today we fired it up. We did have a little hiccup somewhere the radiator got a tiny nick. Talking about my luck....these radiators are NON existent video is coming soon. Just an idle clip with a startup tune... | |

| What did you end up doing on the fuel system? If you used a KB BAP make sure to get rid of the controller knob/box...they are very inconsistent and WILL cause fuel pressure issues.
Car sounds great, blower is pretty loud for a D1sc.
Btw if you can't find a radiator, I have a fix.. Now this will sound like a complete Ni&*^r rig but.... JB WATER WELD works awesome on pluging tube leaks on aluminum radiators. I carry it in both of my bikes trunks for when we get rocks shot through our radiators when out on group rides outside of town. I have plugged atleast 5 radiators with it. 4 of which or still running it. I went 225mph on my busa at the Tx Mile with a water welded rad... The stuff works if you do it right and get it over the hole. You dont even have to drain the radiator...put it on wet...
Just a thought. | |
